What is PleaseVoteMe?

PleaseVoteMe is an online platform that allows users to create, manage, and participate in voting contests. Whether you're organizing a beauty pageant, photo competition, talent show, or any other type of contest, our platform provides the tools to create categories, add contestants, collect votes, and determine winners.

How much does it cost to use PleaseVoteMe?

Creating a contest on PleaseVoteMe is completely free! There are no upfront costs or subscription fees to get started.

Our platform generates revenue through votes, which participants can purchase in the following increments:

  • 5 votes for $2
  • 15 votes for $5
  • 35 votes for $10
  • 75 votes for $20
  • 100 votes for $25

Voters can also purchase votes in any multiple of $25 for larger contributions.

Once your contest ends, we distribute 80% of all collected vote revenue directly to you as the contest owner. This means you only benefit when your contest attracts voters, with no financial risk or initial investment.

How much do I get paid?

As a contest organizer, you receive 80% of all collected vote revenue. The remaining 20% covers our platform fee, payment processing, and operational costs. For example:

  • If your contest generates $1,000 in vote purchases, you'll receive $800

You'll see detailed revenue reports in your dashboard showing all vote purchases and your earnings.

How do I get paid?

Getting paid is simple. After your contest ends:

  1. We calculate your total earnings (80% of all vote purchases)
  2. Within 2 business days of contest completion, our team will reach out to you to confirm your preferred method of payout.
  3. We'll process your payment within 3 business days

Contests

How do I create a contest?

To create a contest:

  1. Sign up or log in to your PleaseVoteMe account
  2. Click the "Create Contest" button on the dashboard
  3. Fill in the contest details (name, description, start and end dates)
  4. Create categories for your contest
  5. Add contestants to your categories
  6. Configure voting settings
  7. Launch your contest and share it with participants

Is a contest ready to vote on right after creation?

There is a quick review process conducted by PleaseVoteMe to confirm that the contest meets all our terms and conditions. Normally this process takes a few hours but can take up to 1 business day.

If you need an expedited review for your contest, you can reach out to us via email at support@pleasevoteme.com and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.

Can I change the start and end date of a contest?

Yes, you can modify your contest schedule as needed:

  • For contests that haven't started yet, you can freely change both the start and end dates
  • For active contests, you can extend the end date, but cannot change the start date
  • For completed contests, dates cannot be modified

To change contest dates:

  1. Log into your organizer dashboard
  2. Select the contest you want to modify
  3. Click on "Edit Contest Settings"
  4. Update the dates and save your changes

Note: We recommend notifying your contestants and voters when making schedule changes to avoid confusion.

Can I add a category or contestant after a contest starts?

Yes, you can add both categories and contestants even after your contest has started. This gives you the flexibility to:

  • Add new categories if there's interest in additional competition segments
  • Add late-registering contestants to existing categories
  • Expand your contest as it gains popularity

Simply go to your contest dashboard, and use the "Add Category" or "Add Contestant" options. The new additions will be immediately available for voting.

Voting

How do I vote in a contest?

To vote in a contest:

  1. Visit the contest page (via the shared link or browse active contests)
  2. Browse through the contestants in your category of interest
  3. Click on your preferred contestant
  4. Click the "Vote" button on their profile
  5. Fill out the form and submit your payment

Your vote will be instantly counted and reflected in the contest standings.

Will I receive a receipt for my votes?

Yes, after successfully purchasing votes, you will automatically receive an email receipt containing:

  • Your transaction details
  • The contest and contestant you voted for
  • The number of votes purchased
  • The amount charged
  • A unique transaction ID for reference

If you don't receive your receipt within a few minutes, please check your spam folder or contact our support team at support@pleasevoteme.com.

Can I get a refund for my votes?

If you need a refund for your vote purchase, please email us at support@pleasevoteme.com and we will help process a refund right away.

Please note that refunds can only be processed while a contest is active, but exceptions can be made in certain circumstances. We recommend reaching out as soon as possible if you need assistance with a refund.

Do you store credit card information?

No, we do not store any credit card information on our servers. When you make a payment for votes:

  • All payment information is processed securely through our PCI-compliant payment processor
  • Your credit card details are transmitted using secure encryption
  • No credit card numbers, security codes, or expiration dates are stored in our database

This ensures that your financial information remains secure and protected at all times.

Technical Support

I can't log into my account. What should I do?

If you're having trouble logging in:

  1. Try the "Forgot Password" option to reset your password
  2. Ensure you're using the correct email address that you registered with
  3. Clear your browser cookies and cache, then try again
  4. Try using a different browser or device
  5. Check if your account has been suspended (you would have received an email notification)
